Apple Hires AI Experts: "Artificial Intelligence Will Change iPhones Forever"

While Google and Microsoft have made their enthusiasm for artificial intelligence crystal clear, Apple's plans for it are still a mystery. The Cupertino-based company may have revealed more at WWDC in June, but in the meantime Apple posted 28 new artificial intelligence-focused job openings in May alone, including job postings for computer engineers, researchers, and project managers. In addition, Apple believes that generative AI, which is also at the heart of ChatGPT OpenAI, will change Apple devices forever.

The fact that the company has posted up to 28 job postings for senior positions in the AI space alone shows that the company's plans in this regard are real. Overall, there have been 88 Apple job postings with the word "AI" in the title, more than a third of which were published in the month and a half of the year - a clear sign that Apple is not resting on its laurels when it comes to artificial intelligence. Tim Cook, the company's CEO, has repeatedly said that generative intelligence is a very interesting technology, but there are still some issues before it can be brought to the consumer market. Just look at the controversy surrounding ChatGPT, the OpenAI bot that opens a window on the risks of out-of-control generative AI. Google, on the other hand, is gradually integrating AI into its web searches, for now.
