Catholic priest kidnapped in Nigeria launched


He regained his freedom on Catholic priest abducted remaining July 10 in Nigeria. Father Joseph Azubuike and three other humans had been abducted via unknown gunmen in Isu, Ebonyi State, southeast Nigeria. The 4 people have been launched around 6 pm (neighborhood time) on Tuesday, as stated through each the Ebonyi police command and the Abakaliki diocese.


“Father Joseph Azubuike became rescued unhurt and in appropriate health thru the collective efforts of Command operatives,” a police spokesman stated. “Intense efforts are underway to arrest the guilty, who managed to get away throughout the shop operation. The Reverend Father is currently undergoing medical evaluations in health facility,” the police spokesman added.


Father Mathew Opoke, chancellor of the diocese in Abacaliki, confirmed the release of the priest and the other abductees. In his declaration, the chancellor of the Abakaliki diocese said that the abductors had unconditionally launched the hostages.


Father Azubuike, parish priest of the church of San Carlo in Mgbaleke Isu and the opposite three people were kidnapped close to the priest’s house as they back from a pastoral assembly. Kidnapping for ransom has turn out to be a significant crime in maximum of Nigeria. Everyone, together with college students and non secular, is an smooth goal.
