Gallen-Kallela’s grandchild’s first personal exhibition gathers greater than 100 works from the artist’s life


Akseli Gallen-Kallela’s grandson Aivi Gallén’s artwork can be visible till the end of the week at Korkeakoski in Juupajoki.


Juupajoen Korkeakoski opened on May 18 Axis Gallen-Kallela grandchild Aivi Gallénin first own artwork exhibition. The retrospective exhibition brings collectively works from throughout his life.

The gallery is called after its founder by means of Edward Wallenius by. Finland’s first industrial shoe manufacturing unit and later the Aaltonen shoe manufacturing facility operated within the building.


A member of a famous artist family, Aivi Gallén has committed a large a part of his life to managing the desolate tract studio Kalela and documenting the life work of his grandfather Akseli Gallen-Kallela. Gallén has edited numerous works approximately him.


Maalaten Matkalla Maailmalla exhibition is open until June 18 at Wallenius Wapriik’s Gallery WW. Entry to the exhibition is loose and it's miles open from Tuesday to Sunday from eleven am to six pm.
